There is nothing more frustrating than buying into a product or service, only to find it is not what you expected. It doesn’t do what it says on the tin.

As consumers, we want to know what we are getting.

And y’all seriously need to stop the bullshit and be honest about your offering.

Gone are the days where it was acceptable for salespeople to say anything to get a sale.

You should never be bending the truth or exaggerating to make a sale because your customer will end up disappointed. And more than likely be very vocal about it. (And it’s a total dick move!)

Your brand needs to be truthful and honest about your offering.

That’s how you gain trust and loyalty from your customers.

Which also makes you more money. Winner.

How can you be honest about your offering?

🦑 Be transparent – if you want your customers to trust you, you must be honest about your products and services

🦑 Tell stories – showcase your customers and employees, share their lives and reality in a fun engaging way

🦑 Establish your company culture – and make sure you authentically convey it in everything you do

🦑 Show your humanity – don’t just be a faceless corporation. Share the people behind the brand, show that you are real

🦑 Be open – make it easy for people to ask you questions and always be open and willing to answer them

🦑 Own it! – people make mistakes. Brands make mistakes. But you need to own it when you make a mistake. Don’t just sweep things under the rug and hide

🦑 Deliver – do what you say you’re going to do. If you promise something, you better deliver! Do what you say you’re going to do
